Today the sun is shining and we have moved to daylight savings time; sure signs that spring is on it’s way. With each day that passes, more individuals are able to access the Covid vaccine and along with increasing vaccination numbers, our hopes of life returning to normal seems to grow stronger.
Although we haven’t been able to return to our quilting space, we have all been busy, on and off, with quilting projects at home.
Here are some completed projects from a few of us:
1) Cheryl
Some of the 20 face masks made for Christmas according to recipients particular tastes
Canadian Women 150 quilt, an on-line quilt block program organized to celebrate Canadian women during Canada's 150th (finished 3 years late but finished is good and it looks great!)
Birthday flowers for Cheryl from her daughter's family; a lovely spring-like arrangement!
A beautiful Sherwood Park sunset!
Using 4 packages of charm packs and a pattern called "Under the Stars" you can duplicate Cheryl's lovely quilt top!

2) Judy
These projects were made using fabric on hand to sew charity blocks as well as a couple of quilt tops made with orphan blocks that Cheryl found in the charity stash.

3) Jane
These two quilts were made with the leftovers of a Day and Night Quilt pattern by Eleanor Burns that was made 5 or so years ago. Beautiful colours!
Currently working on this; first time using a panel and not using a pattern; modifying the look from a similar quilt seen on Pinterest.

Day and Night quilt made about 9 years ago; the table runner was made recently from the scraps - showing how much the fabric has faded over the years!

Some of the 20 Retreat Bags Sue made for Christmas gifts!
In honour of a young emergency room nurse who passed away in November, a group of Sue's friends made close to 80 scrub caps for fellow coworkers to remind them of her. She loved cats and funky scrub caps which she wore to every shift.
Love the little tags that Sue puts inside her bags; a little surprise every time you open it!
